Roadshow in Scandinavia

Accompanied by the local life sciences cluster initiative LifeTecAachen-Jülich and the regional economic development agency AGIT as well as some other neighbouring companies, Celonic will present its portfolio in Eastern Denmark and Southern Sweden end of January. “In the Copenhagen area, a lot of interesting companies are located that could make profit from our manufacturing capabilities and GLP analytical services”, explains Dr. Andreas Herrmann, Celonic’s managing director. Although not the heart of Medicon Valley, the Celonic representatives will also go to the Stockholm area.

“We are happy to join a regional delegation. Nevertheless, we have prepared our agenda completely on our own. Participating companies can only create revenues from this kind of event if they become pro-active”, says Andreas Herrmann. Being chair of LifeTecAachen-Jülich in parallel, he will also meet Medicon Valley’s regional stakeholders to establish a partnership with the Aachen-Jülich area. “We have some similarities. For example, we both profit from an international climate. Aachen-Jülich is part of the Euregio Meuse Rhine combining three countries in one go, while parts of Sweden and Denmark are clustered within Medicon Valley. We could share experiences and copy best practices”, proposes the chair of LifeTecAachen-Jülich.

The delegation trip to Medicon Valley is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research in order to foster the internationalisation of clusters.
